Like the G20 driver the fairway wood optimizes the position of external weighting to position the CG (Centre of Gravity) further back to increase the MOI (Moment of Inertia) on the horizontal axis for a higher launching, more forgiving fairway wood.

The Ping G20 Fairway wood has a large 17-4 Stainless Steel clubhead with variable face thickness included to increase MOI (Moment of Inertia) to maintain high ball speeds that are consistent across the hitting area, this helps hit the ball long distances and straight even on off centre strikes. The G20 Fairway wood also has optimized face height, which helps produce a high MOI (Moment Of Inertia) on the vertical axis combined with a shallow forgiving clubface this promotes greater accuracy and distance whilst offering an easy to hit, visually appealing option from the fairway to the teeing ground.

Ping G20 Shaft & Grip
Ping uses the TFC169F graphite shaft in their G20 model. With a livelier more responsive feel including a softer tip this shaft helps produce a higher launch angle together with lower spin rates. The G20 also uses the Ping ID8 consistent with the grip used on the G20 driver to deliver ultimate comfort and control.
